I feel sort of like an imposter talking about make-up - since I wear so little. But I do wear some and finding a subscription that allows me to recieve a cute bag od make-up with little effort - perfect.
There seem to be a lot of subscription services right now - toys, crafts, make-up, food, pets...you name it. As a busy mom, I have tried a few of them. In theory, they are great - no need to make decisions, go to the store (or multiple stores), you get to try out things you normally wouldn't...
So I decided to try out the Ipsy Glam Bag. It's a $10 a month for full sized beauty products and samples. You take a quiz, tell them about your preferences and then a make-up bag of products chosen for you arrives once a month. November was the "party perfect" bag.
Inside the cute make-up bag was The Balm eyeshadow, Starlet intense eyeliner, Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss (my favorite), Nailtini Nail Lacquer and Benefit They're Real Beyond mascara.
Clearly, if you are very particular about what kind of make-up you use, this probably isn't for you. But if you are open to discovering new products, it's a lot of fun - and you don't need to leave the house :)
Happiness is the goal! As a busy mom - I am always on the outlook for things to make life better, easier, full of life! Not perfect - just happier.

Alexia Side Dishes
Sometimes as a working mom, I feel guilty about not having all fresh foods on the table. I want to feed myself and my family the least amount of processed food possible. I also know that for sanity's sake, that I need to find some quick and easy alternatives for cooking everything from scratch!
Recently I can across a brand of frozen side dishes that I decided to give a try. It's Alexia Foods and it was created using only quality, all-natural ingredients and gourmet flavors. I decided to try the sweet potato fries, garlic bread and . In addition, there are more than 30 varieties of oven-baked appetizers, artisan breads, premium french fries, specialty potatoes and potato & vegetable sides available.
The garlic bread was super easy, pre-cut and tasted good. It was crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. A winning combo! The sweet potato fires were also a big hit, especially with the little guy.

They retail from $3.49–$4.99, depending on the product and can be found in the frozen potato or frozen natural foods section of most major grocery stores, mass retailers and natural food stores. I found them at Target and Vons.
Whether it's the all-natural ingredients or the uniquely flavorful recipes, Alexia offers a fresh take on all your favorites. For me, it's an easy way to add something almost fresh to my family's dinners :)

Palmolive Fresh Infusions
I sometimes feel like I spend ALL of my time washing dishes. How is this possible? I don't think I spend nearly as much time dirtying dishes...
Anyway, I am always on the look out for good dish soap - gentle but effective. I recently tried Palmolive Fresh Infusions dish soap. I must say that I am impressed with the scents! I LOVE the Lime Basil scent. Seriously makes me think of sipping a mojito instead of doing dishes :) It went pretty fast - may have been the superior scent~
It also comes in Ginger White Tea and Lemon Thyme. All naturally inspired scents...all better than your basic lemon smell. My mom loved them as well! They are not too expensive, easily found at Target and work well. Overall, I'd say they are worth a try!

Keeping House!
Sometimes as a working mom, life seems a wee bit complicated! Add into the mix blogging and the fun never stops. Join me as I find ways to help keep sanity - through, review, giveaways, recipes, advice...whatever it takes!
I also blog over at Crazy Casa K - which I plan on devoting more time to being a more personal reflection of me and my family (so boring, I know).
I hope you'll join me in this new adventure!
